CIWEM UDG Integrated Urban Drainage Modelling Guide Research Workshop – November 4th Nottingham Belfry

RAA are pleased to announce the agenda for the research and development workshop being held at the CIWEM Urban Drainage Group Autumn conference on Monday 4th November at the Nottingham Belfry Hotel.

RAA and AECOM were contracted to update the industry standard guidance on Integrated Urban Drainage Modelling and have been consulting with practitioners by holding various regional workshops over the past month.  The event at the UDG conference aims to engage with the wider UDG modelling community in order to gain input and ideas for the updated guide in a number of specific areas.

The workshop will be led by Katie Pearson, Technical Head – Hydraulic Modelling at AECOM with support from Martin Allitt, Director at RAA, and has been designed to facilitate discussion around various key sections of the proposed structure for the new guide.

Taking place in the Admirality Suite at the hotel and commencing at 16:00 with a brief overview of the project and progress to date, the room will then be splitting out into breakout sessions to discuss the various areas of the guide including; pre-feasibility, project definition, assessing confidence, software selection, data collection, data management, hydrology, modelling, verification and calibration, using models, outputs and reporting and model maintenance.

The agenda and briefing notes have been sent to all delegates and attendees are encouraged to use these to prepare in advance and familiarise themselves with the previous guide if possible.

Project staff from both RAA and AECOM will be available during the full conference if there is anything further delegates would like to raise in relation to the update or for those who are unable to attend the workshop to still have their input.  Please visit RAA’s stand in the exhibition hall where we will look forward to speaking with you.
