As a partner of SUSDRAIN we encourage you to take part in this key event about sustainable drainage.
The event will be aimed at those working with the water industry and those that may be navigating their way through the processes and considerations required to plan, design manage and adopt SuDS, including designers, strategic policy makers, local authority officers, and developers. Presentations will provide a water industry perspective on retrofitting SuDS and their use in new developments, talking through the inspiration and ideas behind the greater uptake of SuDS. The presenters include:
Michelle Russ, RainScape Regulation Manager – Dwr Cymru Welsh Water
Martin Kennedy, Technical Strategy Manager – Northumbrian Water
Jonathan Glerum, Flood Risk Manager – Anglian Water
Kyle Robins, Waste Water Infrastructure Strategy Manager – Thames Water
They will explain the drivers, their approach, how this transition is gaining momentum and how challenges have been overcome.
The objectives for the event are to illustrate and discuss the water industry’s perspective on:
- The vision and drivers for transition
- Working with partners
- SuDS design and maintenance; and how this relates to good practice
- Case studies of existing interventions or planned interventions.
Tuesday 14 June 2016
