The Urban Drainage Group Annual Autumn Conference and Exhibition spans three days and is the industry’s main event of the year. The conference will take place from Wednesday 9th November 2016 to Friday 11th November 2016 at the Hilton Hotel, Blackpool.
The conference is a forum for presenters, the showcasing of work, ideas, processes and discussions of the latest knowledge, techniques and research to around 200 industry delegates.
In this our 20th year, Richard Allitt Associates is delighted to announce that the team will be represented amongst this year’s speakers. It is characteristic of the company culture that our presenters include both our most experienced consultants as well as those looking to gain presenting experience in the early stages of their career.
Richard Allitt will be leading the papers for the Future of Flow Surveys Workshop looking at how Flow Surveys are planned. Richard will also be sharing with the conference his thoughts on ‘TwoD (Runoff) or not TwoD (Runoff)-That is the question’ as part of the Modelling Case Studies section.
Following on from her success as an Adam Dean finalist last year, Rachael Albrighton will be presenting a mini paper on Modelling 3D Structures as part of the conference section looking at Insights from Around the UK.
The workshops aim to progress the discussion in a more detailed informal manner, allowing participants the opportunity to be more involved in the discussion with like-minded delegates and workshop presenters alike.
To coincide with the conference and workshops there is an industry led exhibition and conference dinner providing ample opportunity for networking and catching up with colleagues.
The proceedings are kicked off on the Wednesday afternoon with a Research Forum led by experienced professionals and leading representatives in the urban drainage field. The event also encompasses the awarding of the WaPUG prize for those who have made a significant contribution in the field and the Adam Dean award focusing on those starting out in their career.
