RAA achieve ISO 45001:2018 accreditation

Richard Allitt Associates Ltd are delighted to announce that we have successfully achieved certification to the new ISO 45001:2018 Health and Safety standard.  ISO 45001 replaces OHSAS 18001 as the International standard for occupational health and safety best practice.

Leadership and worker participation were key to achieving the standard, and the process leading to accreditation has involved consultation with employees at all levels within the business at both head office in Staplefield, West Sussex and at the recently opened Northern office in Altrincham.

The benefit to our clients and partners is that we can formally demonstrate commitment to the continual Improvement of our Health and Safety systems and performance across all areas of the business, including our Remote Aerial Surveys team.

ISO 45001: 2018 is designed to be integrated into an organisation’s existing management processes, and in this way sits well alongside our existing ISO 9001:2105 Quality and ISO 14001:2015 Environmental management accreditations.

Martin Allitt, Director at RAA who led the company’s bid to achieve accreditation said: “Health and Safety is of paramount importance to us and the sectors that we work in so the objective to reach ISO45001 was a specific one.  I am delighted that the process we have gone through with all of our employees has imbedded this further into our culture and overall business management system.”

RAA is also currently working on putting systems in place to reach ISO 27001 Information Security Management accreditation within the next 18 months, as part of the overall company growth strategy.
